About This Image

Printed information below each of the twelve individual prints that indicates the Berthier was the photographer using a Poitevin Process under the direction of T. Deveria. The Photolithographs were made by Lemercier (rue de Seine, Paris). Titles, plate and series numbers, and dynasty information is also included. The publication is very rare, and even individual plates are rarely available outside of institutions, although it originally was published apparently with either 86 or 110 plates with 30 photolitho plates out of that number. Various sources give different number of plates and date range when published (1857-1860 is another alternative date range). An extremely important archeological document. Some light foxing to borders but plates themselves are clean. For additional images contact dealer.

Most U.S. domestic Fed Ex ground shipping (Media Mail for books) is free of charge except for larger and heavier items, or unless the buyer wants express shipping (email us your requests for the latter). International shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their local customs duties and taxes, which will be charged by Fed Ex, which will contact the client prior to delivery.
