Female nude. With estate stamp on verso. Marien was one of the most important Belgium surrealists and was a friend of Rene Magritte, Picasso and Paul Eluard. He died in 1993. This print was made just before he died for a planned exhibition of his work the next year, which was never completed. See: Marien, La Femme Entrouverte, 100 Photographs (Loempia), p.77.
