Signed and dated on label to be affixed to back of frame. Edition of 25.Jessica Craig-Martin was born in Hanover, New Hampshire, and lives and works in New York City. As a photographer who has worked for Vogue, Vanity Fair, W and the New Yorker, among others, Craig-Martin has had ready access to the glitz and glamour of well-heeled society. Cropped and obliquely angled, Craig-Martin's photographs rarely allow for the identification of her subject's faces, thus subverting the concept of society page party pictures, and instead points towards the baubles, plumage and the telling details that offer commentary on society's obsession with surface. Her solo museum and gallery exhibitions include Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid; MoMA PS1, New York; Galleria Maze, Turin; Colette, Paris; White Columns, New York; and Interim Art, London. Her work is included in such collections as the New Museum, New York; the Saatchi Collection, London; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
