EXCLUSIVE YOUNG COLLECTORS' VIEWING, FRIDAY

In an effort to attract new and young collectors to the show, AIPAD is inviting young collectors' groups from area museums to the Park Avenue Armory for a private cocktail reception and exclusive viewing of the AIPAD Photography Show New York on Friday, April 11.

If you are a young collector you can either come through a number of local museum groups or pre-register here: http://www.aipad.com/events/event_details.asp?id=417764#. Registrations will be limited, so if you or someone you know want to attend the event, you should register online as soon as possible. The registration is free.

To accommodate this audience AIPAD is extending the show by one hour on Friday night, closing at 8 p.m. instead of 7 p.m.

Friday, April 11
Starting at 6:00 p.m.
Young collectors check-in at registration. Each guest receives: entry to the show from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, including a beverage, Welcome bag (includes AIPAD catalogue, On Collecting Photography guide, and industry magazines)

6:00-6:20 p.m.
Young collectors check in, gather and meet in the AIPAD Show Café.

6:20 p.m.
Welcome address by AIPAD board member(s):
What is AIPAD?
Who attends the Show? (Dealer types, image types, price ranges, etc.)
What is on the wall for sale? (And what do dealers have in inventory?)
How to establish relationships? (Ask questions? Seek information?)
What resources are available from AIPAD? (What is in the welcome bag?)

6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Young collectors view the show and visit exhibitors.

AIPAD has asked each exhibitor to present at least one piece that is $2,500 or less, which will be marked by a special sticker, so as to demonstrate to young collectors that acquiring fine art photography can be both fun and affordable.
