Jean Prével was included in the important photography book on the liberation of Paris by Bernard Aury, "La Déliverance De Paris. 19-26 Aout 1944". Many other top photographers were also published in the book, including Doisneau, Jahan, Seeberger, Zuber, Chevojon and others. He had a studio in Paris. Prével may also have been chief of the photo service for Le Havre Presse at one time. His work covered many types of genre from still life to reportage. Prével was active in the 1930s-1960s.
