The image, either a pigment or oil print, appears to be printed from a paper negative. It is a great shot of boys playing in flotsam-laden water by the boardwalk of Coney Island. There is a building in back that reads "Coney Island Rockaway Beach" and "Iron Steamboat Company." The crowd, composed of mostly men in straw hats and a crew of younger boys sitting on the edge of the boardwalk with their feet dangling down, looks avidly on. Signed and titled by the photographer in pencil on the recto of the mount below the image. Also signed and titled in pencil on the verso of the mount, where it is also stamped with the photographer's Ridgefield Park, N.J. information. There is a light crease in the lower left corner. The mount has some small tears, etc., but the image is unaffected.
