Besides being a photographer, illustrator and artist, Gálvez is a well-respected author, particularly known for his book on filmmaker Luis Buñuel. This portrait of Buñuel is a cliché-verre, like those that Picasso and Brassai produced.In 1970 Gálvez worked with Antonio Saura, one of the major post-war painters to emerge in Spain in the fifties, to create these surrealistic portraits of director Luis Buñuel.Gálvez's work is in the collection of the Fundacio Vila Casas.
